Wow, that was really pretty. I hesitate to use the phrase 'straight-ahead' when describing any jazz tune that employs an oud, but here I go. Should appeal to both fans of ECM and mainstream jazz who like a serious wrinkle in the sound. This was a happy surprise to show up on my (AAJ dotd) doorstep.

'Reve d'Oasis' features guitarist Fawzi Chekili on oud and
Francesco Nastro on acoustic piano, from the Fawzi Chekili Quartet's
album Touyour Al Fejr, containing ten originals. Recorded in studio in a live situation with a stellar Naples trio: Aldo Vigorito (bass), Francesco Nastro (piano), and Giuseppe La Pusata (drums).
