“Portrait Of Lola” by Marquis Hill

New Gospel (Self Produced) by Marquis Hill
Editor's Comments
Addicted to the hardbop of the sixties and unable to find a foothold in the jazz of the present day? Then this is your track. Enjoyable straight-ahead jazz that sounds fresh and exciting even while it easily could've fit right in between Blue Note releases of Art Blakey and Jimmy Smith decades ago. Too cool. Jazz from the Chicago scene, and one more reason why I miss my hometown.
