With deep rhythmic and harmonic interplay, Trio Easts trumpet/bass/drums grouping becomes so much more than its parts as they explore a group aesthetic built over five years of working together. With five originals and tunes by Ellington and Coltrane, Clay Jenkins, Jeff Campbell and Rich Thompson have crafted a creative, uplifting and spontaneous recording.
All three members of Trio East are on the faculty of the Eastman School of Music and travel extensively performing and conducting music workshops.
