Contact Us About Coverage

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

All About Jazz understands the urge to include printed material with packaged promotional CDs, but we receive several thousand CDs a year and the paper (especially for a website) is unnecessary and wasteful.

We have a solution that greatly benefits you, allows us to better deal with our growing volume, and saves paper in the process.

Please follow our digital submission guidelines to ensure speedy coverage:

If you do not have a musician profile, create one. If you have one, update it (with your new release information). Your musician profile is central to everything you do at AAJ and it's where fans and pros gather information. It's also the portal to your website.

Send us your CD and include your AAJ permalink (your permalink is http://www.allaboutjazz.com/yourname).

An All About Jazz writer will then reference your musician profile to gather information: biography, photographs, discography, videos, calendar dates, social media URLs, etc.

Once your profile is updated, please consider the following promotional opportunities on this page. Most are free, they work, and they'll greatly increase your chances of coverage.

Note: Due to the thousands of CDs we receive each year, we cannot respond to individual submissions or questions about when or whether a CD will be reviewed. If your submission is featured at AAJ, we will notify you know. Thank you for allowing us to listen to your music!

Advertising and Editorial. We make a clear distinction between advertising opportunities and our editorial reviews. We know getting reviewed at other some other jazz publications hinges on your advertising commitment--it doesn't work that way at AAJ. We'll review your CD if it is a good fit for our web site. You can freely take advantage of our growing list of promotional services--all of which will help promote you, promote your music and drive traffic.

Our Mission

Our mission is to serve jazz and improvised music from a global perspective by advancing musicians, facilitating education, and increasing public awareness of the players and their medium. Our unique position as the leading jazz Website enables us to leverage technology in order to organize and disseminate information, opinion, and music itself. As the primary repository for jazz content, we aim to provide a haven for jazz enthusiasts, neophytes and industry professionals. And by stimulating personal expression, we hope to advance progressive ideas and exchanges which will help shape the future of jazz.
