As a more "traditional" composer/recording artist guy, I think both lists are fine as they stand. Music is after all, a subjective art and there's room for all of us who are trying to keep ALL forms of the music alive.
I would've like to have seen Darcy James Argues big band debut
mentioned, I liked it (just as I like a lot of things that I'd never actually try and write myself.)
