    Thanks for this.

I saw Bill a couple of weeks ago in Seattle at Jazz Alley. The Sunday show (only one set Sunday's) was the last night of the gig , the first stop of the present tour. The band did almost two hours and it was a remarkable set. I sure would like to drop in on the group at another stop in the tour.

They're really onto something with this John Lennon project. The songs are really remarkable as architectural renderings, if you will, upon which the band builds something entirely new.

Freed from the vocals and occasional inane lyrics ("imagine no possessions") the spirit of the music remains and these musicians connect with that spirit in ways which are a joy to behold.

Thanks, Richard, for taking the time to weigh in. No doubt for me, Bill's show will be in my top live shows of the year, and I wasn't kidding, either, when I said one of his best ever (that I've seen). Who knew someone could be both reverential with this material and take it to such a wonderful place?

Of course, when it's Frisell, anything is possible :)
    Thanks again!
