Very nice review, Jeff. I don't listen to this music much now (however I'm listening to Tutu on headphones as I write this), but I remember when each of these came out in the 80's when I lived in San Francisco. Without exception I remember listening to them all over and over and over until they practically permeated my cells. Nobody else in Jazz was doing what MIles was doing. I attended several of his live concerts as well in the 80's and was blown away every time. No matter the year, the album or the concert, nobody was quite like Miles.

Thanks, Robert, for your kind words.

Good review, thanks. Just to be clear, though, I do not "dismiss" this music. I don't like it, and so have not listened to enough of it to be competent as a discographer. But I am perfectly willing to admit that this may be my problem and not a function of the merits of the music.
