    John, if you were going to compare this to Roy Hargrov's "Habana," would it compare favorably?

    I listend to the samples for this and they did nothing for me. Perhaps the songs develop a lot more beyond the samples, but I found what I heard to be rather tepid.

    Thoughts?

    Yeah, I'd say you have to hear more than sound samples. This is about the playing as well as the writing, and 30 seconds - even 60 - just ain't enough.

    Been a long time since I've heard Habana (gonna have to break it out), but I think this is a better record, at least from memory.
