Great review of a sublime album. Having seen this group perform live at the Village Vanguard, their music is very serene at times, and jagged at others, but very engaging all the time.

Thanks for taking the time to write, Wayne; yeah, I've been lucky enough to see them a few times myself, and they really are remarkable, more than anything else for the way they sound, at times, scripted, when they are anything but. I didn't get to publish any, but Bill sent me the charts from the new record, and more than anything else, his comment about "arranged on the spot" is the truth...there's often so little written, it really is quite incredible.
