    A really encouraging study, thanks! If only we were able to see the demographic of who shops where, regarding age, income bracket, profession, etc. It could shed some light on just who is keeping these things going.

    Well for the traditional band instrument stores it is the public school music programs. A kid lands in a school music program and decides to learn trumpet so the school works out a rental program with the nearest store.

    It has a rent to own option. It is reverting to a pre-rock default.
