A great album indeed, and a deserving track review on one of the stand out tracks. What makes The Union shine for me is the brilliant production by T Bone Burnett, the amazingly fresh voice and playing by Leon Russell, and the lovely cameo appearance by Neil Young on the track discussed here.

What holds back the album from being an immediate classic, is Elton John's tired voice. Despite the title of the last track - Never Too Old - he does sound worn out and bored on a number of tracks. But at times the duo between these two legends really shines.
