Nice analyses, Warren. This concert sounds fascinating but your caveat about the sound will probably scare me off. It's hard enough to hear the bass in some of the Impulse recordings, and if you can't hear Elvin clearly... enough said. Good job! Robert Bush (AAJ contributer)

Thanks Rob! The quality's not nearly the worst I've ever heard, but it is a shame not to be able to hear more of the group. You're right when you say hints just don't cut it when it comes to Elvin Jones. That said, I'm a Trane + Dolphy completist, and they're playing like whoa.
