    Fantastic interview, Ian. I especially enjoyed the last few comments you got from him on the subject of jazz journalism. Nat Hentoff's mind is as keen as ever, his way with words just as sharp. Thank you so much for the considerable work you put into this.

    Hi Carl, thanks for your generous words. I'm glad you enjoyed the article, and you're right, Hentoff is as sharp as ever. For anyone who hasn't read Hentoff's "Listen to the Stories" I can recommend it as one of the best books ever written on music.

    Thanks for your kind comments. Without a doubt Hentoff has produced at least a few of the very best books ever written on jazz. He's one of the greats for sure.
