First came upon HR Jr and Bob Perkins by dx'ing radio stations off Long Beach Island about 25 years ago. Intermittent reception; pre-internet streaming days. Both men over time completely altered my ear for jazz, having grown up with Sid Mark and a few stops at Cherry Hill Inn and Pep's.
The glory and genius of this music cast in bronze by these giant DJ's. Listening to CD's I burned from his broadcasts as I write. Saved a number of "Yes, Indeedy's". The simple complexity of his genius. Such a footprint.
