Honestly, I wouldn't compare this guitar player to Kurt or Adam Rogers. I know plenty of music students who have cleaner technique and better time than Samo Salamon. His compositions seem mass-produced and his tone has been done before. You have to draw the line between world class guitarists and promising students still working out the kinks and a long list of semi-celeb music teachers. Don't confuse cutting edge playing with odd meters, angular melodies and low-fi production. Good new guitar players? Listen to Lionel Loueke, Herbie Hancock seems to like him.
