Yeah, I remember him well. I saw him at the Jazz Alley in Seattle shortly before his passing. I had met and seen him several times before that and could see he was not well. Joe was one of the best who ever picked up the instrument. I loved his East coast attitude.

I felt just the same when Joe Zawinul died. barely a squeak out of the press, and him one of the most important and influential musicians of our time. But hey, we've still got justin bieber right?
