While being wonderful technicians all, Paul Motian, Jack Dejohnette, and Jon Christensen are above all, wonderfully sensitive musicians. Their legacies reflect beautiful choices subject to the music they are playing at the time. The work these gentlemen have done and continue to do on the ECM label are examples of first rate musicianship. I am sure the composers of the music on which they play are very happy with the results.
