James Blood Ulmer is a genius of sound and spirit. His song "Where Did All the Girls Come From" is among the best American songs ever recorded; brilliant: soulful, hysterical, real. You owe it to yourself to hear that tune and others. Paul Olson did a wonderful job interviewing Mr. Ulmer-very enlightening and entertaining, with great insight from both parties. I also was surprised by Paul's comment that "Where Did All the Girls..." was sad; it's joyful and ironic. Here's wishing the best to these gentlemen, and that we hear more from both. Where is James Blood Ulmer playing these days???
