I was surprised to notice there was no mention of North african jazz musicians or trad. musicians that opens up to jazz in the AAJ Article about North Africa, such as Anouar Brahem (ECM) Dhafer Youssef, Wajdi Cherif, Fawzi Chekili, Moncef Genoud, Mamdouh Bahri, Karim Ziad etc. also There are three jazz festival going on every year in the only Tunisia.. Jazz is taught at the (Institut Supérieur de Musique de Tunis) and at the ( Centre de Musique Arabes Et Méditerranéennes) (CMAM)
