Seems that Nordic jazz doesn't get attract quite such a thorough readership as other styles - but thanks anyway for the highly informative and lyrical review.
I have just seen Mikko Innanen perform with his new band, and I am sure his debt to these three giants of Finnish free-jazz, along with their common denominator Edvard Vesala, is absolutely incontravertable - playful, skilled, intuitive jazz played to the highest standards. It's quite an inheritance.
