Allison, I was interested to find out a bit more about Bruce Turner, but you appear to have skipped over his time playing with Humphrey Lyttleton and his band(s);from memory he had quite a major influence on Humph's band(s). I think they must have got on pretty well over the years, for Humph to have kept on for so long!! Humph is now at least 85 years and still going strong. Melvyn Bragg has an Arts TV programme on ITV on Sunday evenings, but i got the impression that Bragg knew very little any sort of Jazz!! I was also very surprised that "Humph" did'nt give him any sort of pat on the back on the programme, for a key member of his unit for so long. I think I saw Bruce Turner play a gig at a University do in the distant past. You did not fail to notice Bruce when he was in the Band . Two very strong personalities. Best wishes, Tim Fry
