Mobley is an unsung and underrated artist. I heard Soul Station and was hooked. Since then I've heard all of his releases on Blue Note from the 50's. Incredible. Mobley could jam. As you listen, please refrain from comparing him to others. He and other artist are best judged individually. Unfornately for Mobley, the critics at the time failed to do so. Listen and enjoy!

Lyrical....thats how I would describe Mr. Mobley's playing. You just listen to those beautiful lines and enjoy.
