I had the pleasure and the experience to see him at the Painted Bride museum/gallery/stage in Philly early 90's with Vattel Cherry on Bass and Michael Wimberly on Drums.
That was mind blowing because the intensity the virtuosity and the vibe was incredible! it seemed as the entire room was on fire and transformed uplifted to another plane. I have much respect for Charles and his music, there is so much to learn.
