see you are from maryland area- having a jam session using real book 9/19/10 6:30pm at Unitarian Universalists of Fallston 1127 old fallston rd. fallston md 21047- please spread the wrod to your students or come up youself and scout for some students-or just come up for some fun...open to all levels of player-tell anyone you think might enjoy it-had several musicians last time make connections with new musicians for gigs...
Organizing a second open Jazz Jam session for all members of the Baltimore Jazz Musicians meet-up and any other interested jazz musicians (and jazz lovers) in the area- bring your Real Book if you have one so we all have a place to start. Open to players of all skill levels- Unitarian Universalists of Fallston have let us have the church (small chapel with really great acoustics- seats about 40) FROM 6:30-9:30PM. adequately tune...d upright piano, small cocktail drum kit, and small PA for vocals and electric bass to plug through provided. Guitarists should bring small amp- yes, i said SMALL :) Will have one mic with stand for vocalists. I will brew up some coffee and tea and everyone can bring munchies if they want. Church will let us use space free of charge but if this becomes a monthly jam then we can arrange to play some Jazz Vespers some Sunday night to pay them back. General public welcome to attend and listen. Last month's jam brought out some really great performers! Hope to see you them- spread the word!
