My parents didn't parent, so I adopted the Beatles. I loved their growth and changes and their interests became mine. I really wish all 4 were still around to at least give an occasional reminiscence-type show. They were great on their own too. One of the best parts of growing up. Sometimes some 10-15 of us had Beatles days. We sat and listened all day. They were the best! Will there ever be another group like them? Loved John's sense of humor too.

Ray Charles loved the Beatles, B.B. King Loved the Beatles... if you don't love the Beatles maybe you're a snob beetle...!

I love the Beatles. I heard them on WABC one summer (1963? I Want to Hold Your Hand?) and it changed my musical world.

But I'm curious as to why they're on AAJ. I wouldn't consider them part of the "jazz world," and don't think they would (or would've), either. (Nor am I especially fond of the jazz covers of Beatles songs I've heard...)

    Thoughts?
