Check out this extraordinary video from the great Cedar Walton, who will perform at UCPAC on Saturday, November 21st. One of the great jazz pianists of our time, Cedar Walton recorded on John Coltrane's seminal album Giant Steps.

Cedar is also a master of wit & puns !
We were hanging out one night in the 1980's.
There was some dissonant background music coming from a TV
where a movie was playing.
I asked Cedar, "What chord was that?" He responded, "That's not a chord, that's a cluster!"
"Haven't you ever heard of cluster's last stand?"
