The Peter Brotzmann Chicago Tentet: Concert For Fukushima Wels 2011

By Published: April 28, 2013
In 2012 Brötzmann decided to disband the Tentet, claiming that this outfit "reached the peak of what is possible in improvisation and communication." Sadly, he is right. This concert validates the near telepathic interplay, the immense sonic spectrum of the charismatic and creative improvisers, operating in the last years as a tight free improvising unit. Fortunately, this majestic concert, captured beautifully in this DVD, validates the Tentet and its guests in its peak creative height.
