The DiMeola Effect. The spirit of Al DiMeola nuzzles every corner of this disc. This is no surprise with DiMeola protégés Hernan Romero and Tony Viscardo at the helm. Add to them DiMeola bassist Mario Rodriguez and this you have to have some DiMeola influence. This music is decidely Latin, well produced, and easy on the ears. Romero and Viscardo tip their hat to Piazzola (as DiMeola did) and to the master himself. The beautiful duet on “El Condor Pasa” is worth the price of the disc.

I would expect to hear this music on “Hearts of Space”. It very much crosses barriers to provide music that should be found appealing by a wide variety of listeners.
