You see Irvin Mayfield playing trumpet and what he has done for New Orleans music, and you see all of these incredible musicians playing together, you think, "I want to be a part of that! That's what I want to do. I don't want this other thing. I don't want to be a part of all these other things that are eroding America and the world." We are chipping away at all of these things that are so precious. I want to bring it back to a point where it is available to everybody everywhere. Ideally, I would love to see Preservation Hall's everywhere. I would like to see people in every city have the opportunity to experience music that's important to them in a unique environment like this, where you capture the music of that community and celebrate in a way connects with the people of that community.
