A former newspaper writer / editor who has been writing about big-band Jazz for more than fifteen years.Ken Poston and the Los Angeles Jazz Institute are presenting another all-star event, Modern Sounds, May 24-27 at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel. This one focuses on "Big Bands of the Atomic Age" and includes twenty large ensembles along with films, panel discussions and special presentations. Among the jazz giants whose music will be heard are Dizzy Gillespie
