It's always a treat to catch a Martin Taylor gig, though to witness Andreas Varady hold his own with Taylor was something special. Whether playing swing, bebop or Django-infused stomps, ballads or swaying calypso, Varady already possesses the same kind of confidence and knowing touch as Taylor. Furthermore, the blues touches everything he does. Clearly we'll be hearing a lot more of this wonderful young musician, and as for Taylor, well, Pat MethenyPat Metheny Pat Metheny
