Sullivan knows there's work ahead and see positive things continuing. "I am very lucky that I have the opportunity to play with all these great musicians—the opportunities I've already had, things I've already done, bringing a full big band over to Europe and getting to play with Dave Douglas. If somebody told me that five years ago, I'd be like, 'Jeez. I can't believe that.' Now that it's over, I'm like, 'Why am I not doing that every day?' It's the sustainability and developing some continuity that is really my next endeavor."
