"Of course, I can see how right now we need 'artists,' as such, to help show people that they're artists, too; to show them what's meaningful. Consciousness is the most valuable thing that can be communicated right nowmaking people aware of themselves and their environmentand there has to be somebody holding the line and pointing out the options and the different avenues to learn about. In this country right now the people who are artists in the truest sense of the word are participating in an activity which will bring this consciousness about. And then maybe we will be able to stop categorizing ourselves.
