Dear fellow AAJ contributor,

We're quickly approaching the end of the year and we're wrapping up a few outstanding projects. We feel good about the many improvements we've made to AAJ in 2009 and we look forward to further expanding the site next year. Read on for recent news and get a glimpse at what's coming in 2010...

Photo Gallery Update

The new photo gallery has been a big success and we just imported 22,000+ photos from the old gallery so we now have over 26,000 to view. If you have photos to share, go ahead and upload them here.

Help Wanted: Editors, CD Assignment Coordinator and Sales Rep

We're looking for an additional 10 article editors, a photo editor, a CD assignment coordinator and an advertising sales rep. If you have a couple of hours a week to spare and would like to further support AAJ, please read about our open positions here.

Publication Delays

We apologize for the recent delays with article preparation. Some editors are traveling, some are on vacation, and, speaking for myself, I've been tied up with a handful of projects—and when I'm programming, I can't edit. We'd like to ask for your patience until editors return or until we can expand our staff.

If you have an interest in joining our editorial staff, please go here.

Coming in 2010

The photo gallery proved to be our big project in 2009, though we made several other significant improvements to AAJ. Plans for 2010 include overhauling our calendar of events, developing an iPhone app, implementing an internal messaging feature and re-skinning the site.

And according to musicians, we're on right track. Read what they are saying about us.

Start thinking about your year end picks!
