Festival Wrap-Up

With the most consistently strong program in recent memory, the 25th anniversary of FIMAV was a perfect mix of the various elements that, over the past quarter century, have defined Musique Actuelle. Still, there were some especially memorable shows, standing out amongst a remarkable wealth of riches at FIMAV 2008 (in no particular order):

  1. John Zorn - The Dreamers;
  2. Fred Frith - Cosa Brava;
  3. Spunk;
  4. Gunda Gottschalk/Xu Fengxia;
  5. Art Bears Songbook.
