All About Jazz is more than an entertainment destination for jazz enthusiasts—it's also a valued resource for industry professionals. Designed for musicians, publicists, record labels, educators and presenters, AAJ Pro can help you target and reach specific readers by personal preference and geographic region.

For Musicians

Pay Services

Free Services

  • Create a Musician Profile. Your profile is central to your presence at AAJ. Update it and move it to the top of the prominent lists at the site.

    • Students can locate teachers by geographic region, musical instrument and teaching level. Just fill out the teaching section on your musician profile.

    • Fill in your geo information on your profile page (city/state/zip/county) and allow other musicians to find you.

    • Clinician? Enter information about your clinic or workshop on your profile page.

    • Build your following and keep your fans in the loop on new releases, concert dates, and other promotional opportunities.

    • Use our announcement service to contact your fans/followers.

    • Add your birthday information to your profile and we'll announce it around the web via our RSS feed and our birthday widget. Radio programmers reference our birthday listing often.

    • Your AAJ URL: Place a link to your AAJ profile in your email signature, bulletin board signature, or website. More about your AAJ permalink.

  • Feature a full-length MP3 track at the AAJ Download Center.

  • Post news announcements to the AAJ News Center. See our AllAboutJazz.com Publicity listing for more information about our free newswire service.

  • Upload your photos to the gallery.

  • Post performance dates to the AAJ Regional Calendar of Events. Your dates are accessible from an AAJ reader's regional calendar, from a venue's calendar and from your personal calendar at AAJ.

  • Take advantage of our self-directed interview feature and further raise the awareness of your music and yourself at All About Jazz. Submit your Take Five answers and we'll present your answers as an article and associate it with your profile.

For Publicist

For Record Labels

  • AAJ Showcase & Banner. The two most cost-effective ways to promote your music, promote your live dates, and to drive traffic.

  • Listening Party / Album Stream

  • Make sure your company is listed or your listing is current and accurate. View the AAJ record label directory.

  • Submit a full-length MP3 track to the AAJ Download Center.

  • Post your press releases to the AAJ News Center. AAJ syndicates its news via Google News, RSS, our own data feed, and through our bulletin board—posting it to AAJ will reach multiple destinations.

  • AAJ will notify you via email when a roster artist's CD has been reviewed.

  • Have an RSS feed? If so, we can read it and post your announcements to the AAJ News Center. Learn more.

For Educators

  • Fill out the "Private Instruction" section on your Musician Profile form. Check the "teacher" box, select the student level, and include your teacher biography, credentials, rates, etc.

  • Students can search for your listing by instrument, student level, and geo region from the AAJ Teacher Finder.

  • Potential students will contact you through the form associated with your profile page.

I can't seem to access any "services". I have no problem with any other site, and if i did it was handled.

This is a great site if you can get in the "in crowd":

I can't seem to, even after knowing Michael and John Kelman for some time.

I was not in the in crowd in has because I was smart, pretty and talented and I skipped a few grades and got special treatment...you'd think that is an asset

Anyway, this is not HS, I am 55, I may be dead tomorrow! So lets treat each, member equally!

Anne,

I'm not following you. Are you having trouble updating your profile, posting a news announcement, or featuring an MP3 download?

Most of this is fairly straightforward stuff.

I am a non-musician parent of a high schooler and interested in introducing more of a jazz progam at the school. The school currently has a significant marching band program and a low profile jazz band. If possible, please direct me to some resources that I can review, even ie, "The Basics of Starting a Jazz Program" would be of interest if it exists. Thanks for your help. Jon / Western Maryland
