Hannibal Peterson: One With The Wind

There are not many jazz productions that I can say I like every song performed on the CD or LP. One of those select CD's is Hannibal Peterson's One With The Wind. The opening track, "Nile's Song," written for Hannibal's son, sets the tone for an exceptional work of art led by an individual who does not record enough material as a leader. Warning: This CD requires active listening to feel the emotion and drive of this gifted composer.

"God Bless The Child" and "Misty" have certainly been recorded with tried and true formulas by many jazz artists. Hannibal's reading give the songs increased depth and warmth that take them to new heights. You will also enjoy the gospel inspired reading of Sam Cooke's "Change Is Going To Come." I highly recommend this CD and promise that you will play it over and over again. My fervent hope is that you can still find this and other CD's by Hannibal Peterson at your favorite record outlet. You will not be disappointed!
