This Munich-based record label has provided eleven years of cutting-edge club music on 12 LP and CD formats. This compilation stands as a divergent anniversary gala, celebrating the label's cast of artists for its 200th release.

Many of these selected works feature grooving dance beats spiced with funky/pulsating synth lines, mild rap and ethereal background treatments. Track five is a piece by Muallem, featuring female diva Audrey. "Sweat is all about steamy and sultry vocals riding atop high-gear party fare. And remixes such as Justus Kohncke's "Heat OV Glass boast an electronics-laden disco vibe. This set also offers listeners a sneak peak by injecting songs from recently issued platters, including Alif Tree's exotic and dreamy jazz piece, "I Feel Blue. In addition, some of these artists incorporate African rhythms and minimalist melodies with recurring electro-world grooves.

Compost resides among the crème de la crème purveyors of club fare, and this objet d'art substantiates the label's penchant for infusing a wide array of talent into its nouveau approach. The various bands instill a groovy methodology, firmed up with creative juices that often signal in a measuring stick of sorts for the new millennium.
