Over the past few years AAJ has developed several systems that serve the online jazz community. If you're a professional or simply an enthusiast, chances are you'll want to familiarize yourself with what we have to offer. Please read on...
Daily Download Update
"I love your free download section. I consistently hear things off there that I really like, and often end up buying. A whole track is much more times more compelling than a 30-second clip, and it's especially nice to have an entry point into contemporary jazzit's easy enough to figure out which hundreds of great recordings from the '60s I should buy, but I like to support musicians who are actually still alive and working too. There's a lot more really good, current stuff out there than I thought." If you are or represent a jazz musician or a record label and would like to feature your music at All About Jazz, click here for more information about our download program.
A Word From Our Sponsors... AAJ is proud to showcase these exciting new releases at our Showcase Center.
We invite you to show your support for AAJ by clicking through to these artists' websites and listening to music from their latest releases. Are you or do you represent a jazz musician or record label? Click here for more information about promoting your new CD at AAJ.
Musician Center Improvements
As a musician, a profile page at AAJ can serve you in many ways. First, your page in the Musician Center will index high on a Google search, so it will drive traffic to your website. Secondly, you're giving AAJ readers a convenient way to find information about you and your music. We recently added two bits of info to a profile: a link to an available download (see bassist Dave Phillips' profile) and a link to all related articles at AAJ (see trumpeter Dave Douglas' profile). And once the calendar of events is in place, you'll have the opportunity to access a musician's appearance schedule. It's all coming together.
Visual Arts Center Update
We're currently featuring the work of noted photographers John Abbott, Jose Manuel Horna, Richard Timbers and graphic artists Lauren Camp and David Klemencic on the AAJ home page. Horace Silver by Jose Manuel Horna
Jazz News: Reaching Readers at AAJ and Beyond
If you're an artist, record label publicist, an independent publicist, or promoter, make the News Center a part of your announcementment strategy. We use it for our own in-house announcements and we consistently reach thousands of readers with our message. You can too. What constitutes news? New CD/DVD/book release information, tour/appearance, general industry news, special events, obits, record label signings and more.
Upcoming Releases Center Visit the Upcoming Releases Center for the most comprehensive look at what's coming soon. Whether it's new releases (on CD and DVD) from your favorite artists on labels like ECM, ArtistShare, Cryptogramophone, Thirsty Ear, Palmetto, Criss Cross, or reissues of archival titles from labels like Blue Note, Sony, Nonesuch or Prestige, AAJ is the most up-to-date place on the web to find out what's coming. Updated twice a month. If you're a record label publicist or artist, make a point of submitting your release information regularly.
