AAJ: You did some touring recently with your trio - Christian McBride and Antonio Sanchez.

PM: We're kind of sitting on a record that we record along the way that is all new music. I've got to figure out when and how to put that out. Because the change happened at Warner, the window of opportunity that would have allowed that trio record to come out was missed. That was an exciting trio and I was able to write a record's worth of new music just for those guys.
