A Fireside Chat with McCoy Tyner
By
Published: September 8, 2004
AAJ: Is the touring still rigorous?
MT: It is safer. Sometimes they make you take your shoes off, but I have nothing to hide and I take off my shoes. I have to travel as part of my work. There is no getting around that. I am going to Japan coming up and then I go to Europe later on. The travel is an integral part of this business.
AAJ: And the future?
MT: I am going to Europe in July and at some point, I will be going to Korea. They opened a Blue Note in Korea.
