Jazz Poetry

Every Thought

By Published: August 8, 2004

Tho I sit in silence
Those tunes play on
Imprinted on brain cells
Hum every dawn
Remembering
A love now gone
Yet hanging on
In passionate song.

The substitute symbol
Of what we'd found
Fills the heart with joy.
Tho the actual gone
The recollection lingers
In jazzy songs
Overwhelming the heart with
Beautiful tunes
As your energy surrounds
Every thought I own.
