Hotlinking a musician's name to their musician profile
You can hotlink a musician's name to their All About Jazz musician profile page by placing two curly braces around the name, like {{Christian McBride}}.
Italicize album titles and place song titles in "double quotes."
Use the italics tag to italicize an album title like, <em>Kind of Blue</em>.
Star Ratings
Rate each CD you review from 1 to 5 stars. This information is for internal use only and will not be visible to readers. We do consider the star ratings when determining what reviews to feature on the home page.
Break up your paragraphs
Place a single paragraph break tag <p> between paragraphs.
Make minor changes to your article
You can edit your article before an editor secures it and after it is published. If you plan to make a major change, please contact the article's editor.
Email notification = virtual tear sheet
Enter at least one email address in the "email notification" box for each article. Upon publication, AAJ will send the contact addresses (label rep, publicist, artist, etc.) an email with a link to the article.
Check your published date
You can check the published date of your article by clicking the "Future Articles" link or the "Pending Articles" link on your contributor start page.

Select a primary region
Choose the geographic region that best suits your article. Readers can search articles by region.
Uploading photos to the gallery
Make sure you add the title and the tag(s) to each photo you upload. Tagging photos will allow us to link to them from articles, musicians, news, etc.
Published article notification and editorial comments
AAJ will notify you when your article is published. Once you receive the email, please review your article, especially the editorial comments at the bottom of the page.
