CD REVIEWS AND ARTICLE HIGHLIGHTS
AAJ has delivered the goodies once again by publishing nearly 200 CD reviews. Our ever-growing staff of international writers chipped in with CD reviews, extended analysis reviews and multiple reviews.
We featured some superb cover stories this month, including: Chris M. Slawecki's BAJL: Thelonious Monk, Jeff "The Genius" Fitzgerald's The Blues: Black Once, and Joshua Weiner's Give The Bad Plus A Break .
As always, AAJ brings you up close and personal with today's jazzers of note. This month we chatted with Frank Vignola and Joe Ascione, Marc Cary, Tomasz Stanko, John Abercrombie,
Matt Jorgensen, Bill Bruford, and many more.

REMEBERING ELVIN
We sadly note the passing of master drummer Elvin Jones on May 18. We'll miss his energy, his spirit, his power, and his sensitivity. See more coverage
here and take a moment to pause and reflect on a musician who changed the way we listen to jazz.
Till next month,
Mike, Chris, Nils and the entire All About Jazz Staff
