HOT, HOT, HOT!
AAJ is proud to announce the launching of Raul d'Gama Rose's new column, Highly Opinionated. Please reads his inaugural article, Griots on the Underground Railroad Pharoah Sanders and Wayne Shorter. We'd also like to bring special attention to Maitland Jones' new spin on how to organize a Jazz House Party with JazzNights - Intimate Evenings of Great Music in Princeton. And while you're add it, read what Dave Liebman would do if he had $10 million in the bank!
AAJ is reporting daily from two major international festivals. Greg Robb is wrapping up his coverage of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival while Andrey Henkin is just getting started with his coverage of the Montreal Jazz Festival.
We've also posted 13 art exhibits this month by several talented photographers and one very talented painter.
JAZZ RESOURCE DIRECTORY - USE IT!
AAJ's directory system has grown by leaps and bounds over the last month. We've not only added hundreds of festivals and hundreds of jazz societies, but we've also added more venues, musicians, and vinyl record stores. And just this past weekend we created a jazz publicist, jazz print publication, and jazz association/foundation directory.
If you're in any facet of the jazz industry (see categories below) and don't see your listing, please add it today.
