For over two decades, Spud has established himself as a highly acclaimed music composer, epic sound designer, prolific keyboardist, phenomenal drum programmer, and outstanding recording engineer. With his unique sonic signature sound, ability to play music by ear, he has become a prominent figure in the Twin Cities and beyond, making him one of the busiest composer producers across various genres. Historically, he served as the music director for a Twin Cities-based church for 15 years, further showcasing his versatility and expertise.

Throughout his illustrious career, Spud has been recognized for his significant contributions to various music projects. He has composed tracks for emerging artists, created drive time music for urban and smooth jazz radio stations, and worked on national documentaries, including one featuring a recording artist from the renowned Grammy Award-winning group, Sounds of Blackness. His talent has also been sought after for producing music for award-winning radio and television commercials, including a campaign on Prostate Cancer, with a voice over by the late Sidney Poitier, that won two Addy awards for the advertising agency. Notably, he was commissioned by acclaimed film producer Dion Fearon to compose and produce music for The ASHE' Foundation “Shoes for Africa" national radio and television commercial spots, featuring celebrity moderators such as Tom Arnold, Claudia Wells, Kenny Lattimore, Essence Atkins, and Harry Smith.

Spud's exceptional talent, vision and passion extends to the world of film, with two of his edgy urban nostalgic tracks being featured on the epic soundtrack of the globally- renowned positive outdoor arts documentary, Bomb It 2, directed by award-winning filmmaker Jon Reiss. This documentary, which also includes music by Grammy-nominated singer- songwriter Rueben Studdard, is currently being aired on popular streaming platforms like Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

In addition to his collaborations with award-winning and Billboard chart-topping recording artists, Spud has worked closely with Grammy Platinum Icon Teddy Riley for the past six years. In this role, he has created spec tracks and iconic pre-production for Teddy Riley's New Jack Swing global concert music tours, while also serving as a sound designer and music technology software expert consultant. For the past two years, Spud has taken on the role of music supervisor and production virtuoso for the illustrious two-time Grammy nominee and multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Karyn White, overseeing her epic USA music tours.

Over a decade ago, he invented one of the first collaborative music gateways for musicians to work online together without the USB feed back noise called Virtual Studio Configuration V.S.C., and was featured in various music tech media spotlights. With his YouTube channel accumulating over 75K views through music technology video tutorials for five years and historically hosting one of the first high-profile celebrity-driven music production and tech talk podcasts for just over six years, Spud has been dedicated to sharing his knowledge, skills and expertise with aspiring musicians and producers, however now concludes this online chapter of his career.

Currently, Spud is entirely and passionately focused on composing exceptional music for upcoming projects, establishing himself as a cinematic and multi-genre composer for trailers, film/documentaries, television, multi-platform streaming services, and other music-related ventures.
