The Latin Jazz Virtuoso Rafael Moreno To Lead Star-studded Bands In The United States

Rafael Moreno, recognized as a luminary in the Latin American music scene, has announced an impressive list of upcoming work in the United States with some of the country's most-recognized Latin Jazz bands and artists.

From 2024 to 2027, Moreno will notably lead his own ensemble, “Rafael Moreno and His Orchestra," as the Lead Singer, Arranger, Orchestrator, and Band Leader. His ensemble is scheduled to captivate audiences at distinguished events and productions across the U.S., as highlighted by prestigious media outlets like El Siglo, La Estrella de Panamá, and Panamá America.

One of the marquee events featuring Moreno and his orchestra will be the Latino Heritage Concert in Boston on December 14, 2024. This event, produced by Sociedad Latina, promises an enchanting celebration of Latino culture. Furthermore, Moreno will headline a monthly concert series at La Fabrica Central in Cambridge, MA, from 2024 to 2027, showcasing his versatility as both a vocalist and an arranger.

In addition to leading his own orchestra, Moreno's schedule also includes performances with several other acclaimed U.S. bands. With “Rafa Moreno & Vibra Tropical," he will play an integral role from 2024 to 2027, bringing his dynamic presence to audiences at numerous venues, including a regular concert series at La Fabrica Central. His successful collaboration with Vibra Tropical was already evident during the “Viva Neustra Cultura!" concert on October 5, 2023, a tremendously successful event that caught the attention of publications such as Fenway News.

Moreno's remarkable talents have also been recognized by Angel Subero, who has enlisted him as the Lead Singer for the band “Angel Subero and Latin Logic." During the next three years, fans will have the opportunity to see Moreno fuse Latin Logic's sound with his own signature vocal style at concerts throughout the U.S., including another ongoing concert series at Boston's La Fabrica Central.

Moreno also performs as the lead singer of Grammy-winner Eguie Castrillo band The Eguie Castrillo Orchestra in concerts throughout the United States. Previously, Moreno performed alongside Castrillo in Boston at the concert “Mambo Kings: 100 Years" in Boston, the 2022 Cambridge Jazz Festival, and in May 2024, he performed with the band at the Puerto Rico Jazz Festival.

Moreno's artistic prowess extends further as he continues to captivate audiences with “Clave & Blues" and “Juan Nieves & Legado Orchestra." These collaborations come closely on the heels of his remarkably successful performances with Clave & Blues at the Latinx Heritage Month concert at Boston's City Hall Plaza in September 2023 and his starring performances with Juan Nieves & Legado Orchestra at the “Salsa on a Hill" concert in Boston in June 2024.Later this year, Moreno will star with the Legado Orchestra in an upcoming concert at Roxbury College.

Moreno is also slated to perform as the lead singer of the internationally-recognized band “Franky Rodriguez y Orquesta: Homenaje a la Salsa" through 2027. His previous work with the band includes a starring performance in a concert that took place as part of the Latin American Festival in Worcester, MA. Adding to his musical engagements, Moreno will also impart his knowledge as a music educator at MAP Family Learning Center and North End Music & Performing Arts (NEMPAC).

In addition to his work with acclaimed bands, Rafael Moreno’s career is marked by countless other performances that earned him praise from fans and critics. In 2015, Moreno saw great success with his album release concert at Teatro La Estacion in 2015 celebrating the release of his acclaimed album “Real." In 2010, Moreno starred in multiple high profile concerts, which include his headlining performance at “Global Party Panama" at the Panama's National Theater, his concert “Verano Azul" at Panama's National Institute of Culture, and his concert at Panama's Calle Uruguay. As the Lead Singer, Songwriter, and Producer for Sociedad Anonima Orchestra from 2011-2019, Moreno starred in several major concert performances and tours. In 2009, Moreno rose to national stardom as a star of the reality competition show “Vive La Musica" and in 2011, he was starring performer in the concert “Viva La Musica: La Batalla de las Estrellas" ("Vive La Music: Battle of the Stars").

Rafael Moreno is one of Panama's most accomplished Latin Jazz artists. with a massive following. With so many high-profile projects on the horizon, his fans have quite a bit to look forward to, as Moreno will be bringing his one-of-a-kind voice to stages throughout the United States with some of the country's most distinguished artists and bands.
