Joining Jeff will be two regular members of his quartet; pianist Francesca Tanksley (leader of her own trio as well as pianist with The Billy Harper Quintet), tenor saxophonist Erica Lindsay (whose credits include the bands of Oliver Lake, Baikida Carroll and McCoy Tyner) along with pecial guest bassist Jay Anderson who performs regularly with the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Joe Sample, Toots Thielmanns and several others. Jeff Siegel's resume includes work with Sir Roland Hanna, Ron Carter, Dave Douglas, Ravi Coltrane, Ryan Kisor, Kenny Burrell, Kurt Elling and many more.

Jim Santella of Cadence recently wrote about Siegel's cd “Magical Spaces"; It's not just “magic" on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Siegel's Straght-Ahead session merits at least 5 stars." Critic Jos Demol of Belgium's Jazzmozaiek noted “One of last year's most blissful releases has to be “Magical Spaces" by Jeff 'Siege' Siegel. Albanyjazz.com's J. Hunter described (Magical Spaces as) “a wonderful collaboration of like-minded musicians led by drummer/percussionist Jeff “Siege" Siegel. Musician Jimmy Heath commented “MAGICAL SPACES is the kind of CD that you want to listen to over and over. Jeff's musicality is incredible. He is so tasty as a percussionist and he has become a fine composer/ arranger with a good melodic concept and harmonic depth. The group performance is remarkable."
