Their self-titled genre, Texas Alligator Blues, was named after the alligators that actually migrated over the Louisiana land bridge to the Texas side. Historically, blues music developed over sectarian lines of Christian gospel in the Southeastern United States at the turn of the twentieth century. Euro Anglo Gospel branched and developed into guitar driven C & W, and African American gospel branched and developed into Ragtime, Boogie Woogie, and guitar driven Deltablues, not to mention blues driven rock 'n' roll. These Allentown boys put it all together, crossing genre lines like Texas Alligators cross bridges.
