“I wrote this album on the heels of a devastating breakup and I saw writing it as a chance to pour out everything I was feeling as I travelled the road to healing. Often pain and suffering causes us to grow," Gloria reflects. “Ironically, when I was recording 'Let Go & Let God,' a memoir of the breakup, I had just gotten engaged to the man who broke my heart and inspired the song. Needless to say, the tears flowed in the studio during the playback ... both tears of sadness in remembering and tears of joy in letting go of the past."
